Your parish councillors have the community interests at the heart of all they do. They are ordinary people who either live in the parish, or reside within 3 miles of the boundary, so have an obvious interest in what happens in the locality. They work, on a voluntary basis, to make this parish a desirable place to live and work in. They have a ‘watching brief’ on all local matters and are continuously seeking to improve our parish.
In 2006 the Council was instrumental in publishing a Parish Plan, based on questionnaires sent to every household. As a result, the Council has set up several projects to address important issues, highlighted by residents. An example of this is the “Speedwatch” Team, who work throughout the parish recording and actioning traffic speeding.
